The True Meaning of Christmas (to me anyway)

In seminary today we watched "For This End Was I Born" and it really opened my eyes to how amazing Christmas is! I got to thinking while I was watching it about Elder Hollands talk "None Were With Him" because Elder Holland talks about all that Christ suffered so we wouldn't have to be alone. I know, it's an Easter address but when you think about it by celebrating the birth of our Savior we celebrate his life and everything he did for us.

CRAFTS!!

So for those who know me they know I love having projects to do. So after finishing some quilts for my young women leaders I needed another project. I decided to go to wal-mart and find some fabric. I found some precut quilt squares and strips and decided to make a quilt! I arranged and sewed the squares and strips the way I wanted them to look and then tied the quilt and bond it.

It's not very big, but someday it'll make a wonderfull baby blanket!!

So during General Conference I like to have something to do to keep my hands busy. I usually crochet or do some kind of craft. Unfortunately I can't find my crochet hook so I went to Hobby Lobby and got a fantastic idea!! I love having stuff to decorate my shelves in my room, so I bought a C and a B and some scrapbook paper and some flowers and I made these.

I just mod podged some paper and painted the sides and hot glued the flowers, it cost around $9 and only because the flowers were really expensive!!!

That's right I'm going to Home Coming!! My friend Canyen Hemuli asked me on labor day with a giant fortune cookie he made him self!! It was delish! I answered him by getting a thing of ice cream and wrapped up my answer in a plastic baggie and A LOT of tape and stuck it in the ice cream... sucker!! Ha ha :) the dance is on the 17 of September... this Saturday!! I got my dress yesterday and it's really pretty and brown!! It's way cute!! I'll post pictures after the dance!

Maybe I Love Him Just a Little......

Confession time. . . I may or may not be madly in love with Zachary Levi... Yes I know it's so stupid and childish but i really do just love him!! Here's a few things I've managed to dig up on this hot hot man...
1. He is a great singer
2. He once cut his hand on his light fixture in his living room playing an intense game of Wii Tennis, for which he received 14 stitches
3. He is very spiritual
4. He loves sushi and pizza, pepperoni and pineapple to be exact

Just kidding but I really do enjoy watching this man on TV he is amazing and so funny and the perfect nerd! Now will I really marry him someday.. no, which is okay.. only because there is a slight age difference...15 years (cough cough) but and because I know there is a Son of God out there for me and he will be better than Zachary Levi!! (it could happen!!)

Like I said only a few... Pres. Thomas S. Monson is one of my role models, I know everything that comes out of his mouth is what my Father in Heaven would have me know. Pres. Monson is our little Heaven on Earth as are all of the General Authorities. Where would we be without this fantastic man? He gives his life and time to the church and it's members, and he does it with a happy and willing heart, the best thing he can give!

I know whenever I am having doubts or sad days where I look at myself and say why can't I look like this girl or have perfect face and body, or be the girl guys want to hang out with, I know that makes my Heavenly Father sad, I know he made me how I am and I shouldn't wish for more, Pres. Monson helps remind me of this, I know from his words that I am a daughter of God and that is the best thing I could ever be!

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!

Good news!!! I tried out for the Upsage Youth Theatre production of Alice in Wonderland and I got the part of ................ The Queen of Hearts!! I'm so nervous!!! It's the biggest role I've had yet and I can't wait to play it!!! Rehersals started this week and the directors are just awesome!! I also get to do it with my best friend Ashlin which is another plus!! I'll keep ya posted on what happens with everything but as of right now.. I get to be 7 feet tall and stand on a platform thing and I get pushed around by the cardsmen... AH!!!

First Time

This is my first blog post.. ever... I'm a little nervous! So just to start things out I wanna tell you about the people I love! First of all there is my family, Family is everything! My parents have been married for about 26 years and happy as always, I have two older sisters and one older brother.. all very interesting.... My oldest sister is Shealynn, she lives and teaches in Logan Utah she is awesome! I look up to her so much and would not be who I am today without her, she is sweet and such a great person, and awesome sister! My other sister Amy is hilarious!! Anyone who crosses her path are changed for the better that's for sure! She is such an awesome person and loves life and makes my life worth loving! Cameron my older brother is..... well he's an older brother, he teases me, yells at me, but I know he loves me and I love him, he teaches me life lessons and helps me avoid certain situations with my parents. My dad is my hero, I can't imagine growing up without him, he keeps my spirits up and helps me grow. My mom is my support system! We have recently gone on a health kick and without her I wouldn't have lost the fifty pounds I have lost, she is everything that a mom should be and such a great example.
Ok, next is friends, my bestest friends are, Stephanie Mott, Keara Allen, Katie Nielson, Camille Thomas, Itzel Day, and Kortni Miller. First Stephanie.. She is crazy!!! We have been friends since 1st Grade!! I would not be the crazy hilarious girl without her in my life... to be honest I would probably be a snobby brat, she helps me see who I am and what potential I have. I love her so much! Next is Keara, we have only been friends for a couple years but she awesome! Even though she has some hard times we stay friends, she is very forgiving, sweet and just such a great person! Love her! Katie, .. what to say about Katie.. well she is abosolutely obsessed with Zac Efron... And me being how I am with Sexy movie stars we get along quite nicely. Katie understands all my little weird things I do and I can tell her anything and she just accepts me for who I am! Camille, as she would say I am her Disney to her World and she is definately that to me! Camille is such an amazing person, I look up to her and her ability to face the worlds challenges with a smile and a good word! She keeps me going when I'm down and reminds me of how special I am to this world. Itzel Day.. or as I should call her Sis. Day. . Sis. Day is my young women president and my bestest friend... We do not go a day without talking to each other, I go to her house whenever I can, and she is my running buddy! I love her with my whole heart, she is my shoulder to cry on my third sister and I know I can go to her with anything at any time and she will help me! Kortni Miller, or again as I should call her Sis. Miller, is also in the young women's but is one of the best people I know. I love her so much!! She is the cutest, sweetest, most thoughtful person on the face of this planet!! No matter who you are, what you do, what you look like, anything Kortni would be your best friend and treat you with the greatest respect and kindness ever! She is a great mom to her little adorable boy Eli (my home dog) and just the best person!! She inspires me to be better and get a rockin body like hers (ha ha). These are all the people in my life here on this earth that are the reason I wake up in the morning and keep going when times are hard, without them ... It's scary to think of were I would be!
