The True Meaning of Christmas (to me anyway)

In seminary today we watched "For This End Was I Born" and it really opened my eyes to how amazing Christmas is! I got to thinking while I was watching it about Elder Hollands talk "None Were With Him" because Elder Holland talks about all that Christ suffered so we wouldn't have to be alone. I know, it's an Easter address but when you think about it by celebrating the birth of our Savior we celebrate his life and everything he did for us.

CRAFTS!!

So for those who know me they know I love having projects to do. So after finishing some quilts for my young women leaders I needed another project. I decided to go to wal-mart and find some fabric. I found some precut quilt squares and strips and decided to make a quilt! I arranged and sewed the squares and strips the way I wanted them to look and then tied the quilt and bond it.

It's not very big, but someday it'll make a wonderfull baby blanket!!

So during General Conference I like to have something to do to keep my hands busy. I usually crochet or do some kind of craft. Unfortunately I can't find my crochet hook so I went to Hobby Lobby and got a fantastic idea!! I love having stuff to decorate my shelves in my room, so I bought a C and a B and some scrapbook paper and some flowers and I made these.

I just mod podged some paper and painted the sides and hot glued the flowers, it cost around $9 and only because the flowers were really expensive!!!

That's right I'm going to Home Coming!! My friend Canyen Hemuli asked me on labor day with a giant fortune cookie he made him self!! It was delish! I answered him by getting a thing of ice cream and wrapped up my answer in a plastic baggie and A LOT of tape and stuck it in the ice cream... sucker!! Ha ha :) the dance is on the 17 of September... this Saturday!! I got my dress yesterday and it's really pretty and brown!! It's way cute!! I'll post pictures after the dance!

Maybe I Love Him Just a Little......

Confession time. . . I may or may not be madly in love with Zachary Levi... Yes I know it's so stupid and childish but i really do just love him!! Here's a few things I've managed to dig up on this hot hot man...
1. He is a great singer
2. He once cut his hand on his light fixture in his living room playing an intense game of Wii Tennis, for which he received 14 stitches
3. He is very spiritual
4. He loves sushi and pizza, pepperoni and pineapple to be exact
5. He loves Disney Movies
6. If he hadn't become an actor he would have wanted to be a History teacher..

Just kidding but I really do enjoy watching this man on TV he is amazing and so funny and the perfect nerd! Now will I really marry him someday.. no, which is okay.. only because there is a slight age difference...15 years (cough cough) but and because I know there is a Son of God out there for me and he will be better than Zachary Levi!! (it could happen!!)

Like I said only a few... Pres. Thomas S. Monson is one of my role models, I know everything that comes out of his mouth is what my Father in Heaven would have me know. Pres. Monson is our little Heaven on Earth as are all of the General Authorities. Where would we be without this fantastic man? He gives his life and time to the church and it's members, and he does it with a happy and willing heart, the best thing he can give!

I know whenever I am having doubts or sad days where I look at myself and say why can't I look like this girl or have perfect face and body, or be the girl guys want to hang out with, I know that makes my Heavenly Father sad, I know he made me how I am and I shouldn't wish for more, Pres. Monson helps remind me of this, I know from his words that I am a daughter of God and that is the best thing I could ever be!

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!

Good news!!! I tried out for the Upsage Youth Theatre production of Alice in Wonderland and I got the part of ................ The Queen of Hearts!! I'm so nervous!!! It's the biggest role I've had yet and I can't wait to play it!!! Rehersals started this week and the directors are just awesome!! I also get to do it with my best friend Ashlin which is another plus!! I'll keep ya posted on what happens with everything but as of right now.. I get to be 7 feet tall and stand on a platform thing and I get pushed around by the cardsmen... AH!!!
